The Doomsday Mentality is Part of the American DNA
As we go through our cycles, we fear the “end is near” just like every generation before us…

Tangle aims to have an objective analysis of events. It tries to articulate both sides of an issues (Right & Left), as honestly as possible, on the day’s topic. It’s a pretty cool model actually.
The times caught up with Tangle because many paying subscribers started canceling memberships. Why? Because those on the Right think it’s too left leaning, and hard on Trump. And those on the Left think it’s too rightward, and is “whitewashing” how bad it really is…
Yikes.
Our society is sick. It could be one of our worst times, other than the Civil War period.
I find it fascinating that in his attempt to analyze the character of a soul, Plato in his Republic looks to governmental structures as a window into the health of a soul. He lists them from how ill to well they are, based on their political structure.
But it doesn’t take a genius to see we are ill. And it does look like, as we transition through our political cycles at regular intervals, that we have years of chaotic politics left to go through. This time is much harder though because two cycles hitting at once.
