Dear Gen Z,

I know economically it’s rough out there and the future doesn’t feel great for ye Gen Z folks. But you’re not the first generation that had trouble finding work after a downturn.

You feel hopeless. It pushes many to desperate tactics, as if your only shot is to hit it big, cash out, and only then you can live.

But here’s a hard truth: only an extreme minority will “invest” their way “to the moon.” Robinhood, crypto, Pokemon cards…that path is akin to gambling because…it literally is gambling. As in, it is NOT investing.

You’re letting chance and luck determine your future, instead of the tried and true paths worn from generations before you. I get it—it’s not sexy.

But if you want to get wealthy, and I mean truly wealthy, it won’t be from short circuiting the system.
